The movie centers on an American man in search of love, marries an African girl. The drama he experiences from the entire adventure explores his naivety to love, marriage, culture and religion, which makes him a novice (JJC). He discovers that marriage is a learning process. Each day with different lessons to learn and the ability to forgive and co-exist.

Renowned musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka says she hopes her new movie will teach Africans the importance of laughter. Speaking to TshisaLive, Chaka Chaka said when the film's producers approached her – at the BET Awards in Los Angeles – she jumped at the opportunity.


The comedy was shot in Lagos and South Africa and features other stars like Emmy Award Winning Thuso Mbedu, Patience Ozokwor, Joey Rasdien, Nancy Isime, Vuci Kunene, Thando Thabete as well as American actor Quincy Giles.


Movie was premiered March 16 2018 and should currently be in cinemas
