STARBOY : The Weekend gets Marvel Comicbook

The Weeknd‘s secret project with Marvel has finally big  been revealed as he makes an appearance at New York Comic Con. The singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, transformed his Starboy persona into a comic book character for a new Starboy comic series, dropping in 2018.
Tesfaye teased the cover art on social media in the days leading up to the Con in Manhattan. On Saturday, he revealed it in full as he signed autographs from the Marvel Booth at the Javitz Center.
Tesfaye dropped his Starboy album in November 2016 with tracks like “Secrets,” “Rockin,'” and the eponymous track. The performer openly discussed the possibility of creating a comic book inspired by the project in various interviews.

Starboy is the next chapter in this chronicle, this saga,” Tesfaye told Pigeons & Planes. “I guess this is the fourth chapter. He’s a character that we created. It’s so funny, we want to create a comic out of him, as well. … He’s a cool, dope character that makes appearances a lot on the album. He’s definitely made his appearance in different records in the past, as well. He’s a more braggadocious character that we all have inside of us.”
