Victor LaValle's Biographyy


    Victor LaValle is an American author born february 3 1972. He was raised in Flushing and Rosedale neighbourhoods of Queens, NewYork. He graduated with a degree in English from cornal university and a master arts program of columbia university. 


        LaValle is an Associate professor at the columbia university school of arts, he lives in NewYork with his wife novelist Emily Raboteau, son and daughter.

       He wrote "slapboxing with Jesus" which was published in 1999 by vintage books. All eleven stories focus mainly on the lives of young Latino  and blacks living in NewYork in the 1970s & 1980s
He also wrote "The Ecstatics", "Big Machine", "The Devil In  Silver" and "The  balled of black Tom".

        LaValle won a few awards for his works all through the years, like the Chicago Tribune favourite fiction of 2009 & Los Angeles Times best Science fiction of 2009 and lots More.
