GUARDIANS : russian Movie US Release Date

Guardians, the movie about Soviet superheroes, mechanical spider tanks, mutants and a man who can turn into a bear, debuted in Russian theaters earlier this year to less-than-stellar reviews and a meager box office earning. The movie was a dud by all critical a

ccounts, but a bad review has never stopped the curious moviegoer from seeking out the occasional oddity. It will soon be a little easier to sate that curiosity – if you’re into that sort of thing – as the Western home release date for the film has been announced.

The film sees four genetically-altered former Soviet superheroes recalled from their respective self-imposed exiles after a mutant machine hybrid emerges with plans for world domination. The team consists of four members: Ler (Sebastien Sisak), who can psychically control earth; Khan (Sanzhar Madiyev), a super strong master of blades; Xenia (Alina Lanina), whose power gives her mastery over water in a variety of ways; and Ursus (Anton Pampushnyy), a chain gun-toting warrior who can transform into a bear either entirely or in part.

Guardians will be distributed by Shout Factory and is scheduled for home release in the United States on September 5.
