Negima, School Rumble Get New 1-Shot Manga on March 15


      This year's 14th issue ofKodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine revealed on Wednesday that Ken Akamatsu's Negima! Magister Negi Magi andJin Kobayashi's School Rumble manga will both get one-shot stories in the magazine's next issue on March 15.
Akamatsu launched Negima! in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2003, and ended it in 2012. Del Rey Manga began publishing the manga in North America, butKodansha Comics took over the title in 2010. The manga inspired a television anime series, several video anime releases, a live-action series, and a film.
Akamatsu launched UQ Holder!, a spinoff sequel set in the same world, in August 2013. Kodansha published the 12th volume in November. Kodansha Comicspublishes the manga in English, and it published the ninth volume in September. It will get an anime adaptation.
Kobayashi's School Rumble romantic comedy manga ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2002 to 2008. Kodanshapublished 22 compiled book volumes for the series. The series inspired two television anime series and two OVAs.
Del Rey published part of the series in North America before Kodansha Comicstook over publishing duties for the imprint in 2010. Kodansha USA has been publishing the series digitally. The manga got a special chapter in November that centered on Tsukamoto and Harima.
