Hayate the Combat Butler Manga Ends on April 12
Hata teased in November that he wants to start a new series this year.
The wraparound jacket band on the 48th compiled volume of Hayate the Combat Butler confirmed in May that the manga's story was approaching its climax. Weekly Shonen Sunday then announced in October that the manga was entering its final arc on November 16.
Hata launched the manga inShogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sundaymagazine in 2004, and Shogakukanpublished the manga's 50th volume on February 17. Viz Media published the manga's 29th volume in North America on February 14.
The manga has inspired four television anime seasons in 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2013, as well as a three-episode OVA in 2014. The manga also inspired theHayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth anime film in 2011.
Crunchyroll streamed all four series.Bandai Entertainment licensed the first series and released it on DVD in 2009.Sentai Filmworks licensed all fourseasons and the film, and released all of them throughout 2015.
